Return to stock ,,,,, worth it ??

Morning All,

Been away from Skoda for a few years, but saw one for sale out here the other day and am now sorely tempted to buy my 3rd Fabia Vrs, this one is Limited Edition number 322. 

Drove the car last night and its ok, but there are a couple of issues which I'd like some opinion on from you guys before i part with my cash.......

There is an aftermarket back box which makes the car sound just daft, has anyone gone the other way and put stock back box back on , expensive ?

The gearbox was never a problem in my first two vrs but this one feels like a jigsaw box, found myself searching for gears, is this a common fault easy to fix ?
