Changing the Second Speedometer Display?

Featured Replies

Is there a way to change the 'Second Speedometer Display' in the Maxi Dot?

I realise that it is set to KPH for when driving abroad, but can this be changed to MPH?

The manual is a bet confusing, referring to different sections of the manual, but without actually explaining how to change it.

I have a slightly different requirement if its possible.

Living in France as I do I am quite happy with the standard UK setting of a MPH analogue speedometer and the km/h display in the maxidot, it is however very small, I have sight problems especially close up and its difficult to read sometimes.

I keep reading postings on the subject of "LARGE MPH display on maxidot" is there some VCDS coding where I could have the km/h digital display in larger font?

I dont mind if it has to be on a seperate display from the MFD info.

Many thanks.

Thanks Kenny, it would seem I'd need VCDS kit but i not fussed about changing any setting to Australia so I'l leave it as it is.

I changed that on my Yeti with a Carista OBDII dongle in a few minutes, cost me about £20 and it has full functionality for about a month included in the price and after that even if you do not want to pay more it is still an excellent fault code reader.

^ ^ ^ Large Km, not easily possible, I looked at this several years ago! A recent post by LangersUK (I think) indicated a need to change codes in the eeprom module!!
