Second hand fob can it be programmed another Kodiaq

Featured Replies

Hi. I only have 1 key fob if I get a used key fob can it be programmed to my Kodiaq 2017 model.

Probably easiest if you just search you tube on how to reprogramme keys, there are many videos.

Example:  reprogramming VW group keys

Thanks Scot5 but have already searched you tube but they deal with earlier   VW models that you put the key and turn it to start the car and you could register the new key as their was a pickup coil in the ignition barrel that read the key. Of course as the Kodiaq is keyless entry it complicates things.

I think you gotta get a dealer to code it as the immobiliser coding system is connected to VW headquarters in Germany. But happy to be corrected

Doesn't it have an emergency key as well that has to fit the car like my Karoq, so you can open the drivers door.

If so you need to get one from Skoda and get it programmed to work with car as well
