Citigo service intervals for plugs/filters etc

Featured Replies

Hi, first post!

I have just bought a 63 plate 1.0 Sport with full dealer service history - it has the service book and dealer stamps etc

Reading the owner manual and service book - I can't find the service intervals for specific components - plugs, air/pollen filters, cambelt etc.

All I can find is oil/filter once a year.

I have googled and searched this site, but no joy.

Is this information available anywhere?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Spark Plug change guidelines or if you want to call it a schedule is usually 4 years / 40,000 miles.

Pollen / Cabin filters are @ 2 years or sooner, but you can look see, vacuum it maybe and keep using or change it.

You can look at your air filter any time, or annually.  The Guidelines used to be at 4 years / 40,000 miles for replacing.

The cambelt discussion is on here in many threads, just look down this page or the last one.

Indeed.

Pollen and air filters massively depend on where you live and the quality of the air there.....

When I lived in the Algarve it was dust/sand that reduced the filter life - but that can be vacuumed to some extent as it wasn't very oily/sticky...

In Durness, I could probably x4 the lifetime of filters as it was extremely clean, but in most of England - cities, big towns, industrial midlands & the grim north etc -  the pollution is so bad in terms of  petrochem/industrial and other sticky dirt, you may want to change a bit more often than the service data says....

I recently checked my filters down here (near Penzance) and they look pretty good despite nearby sand, although it's no way as clean here as the Highlands!
