Ok I can't take it any longer... the Skoda HU in my 06 Fabia vRS is nice (and I like not having to remove the front when I park) but I can no longer be without my iPod on the car...

So I'm going to get the facia/adapter plate whatever so I can fit my Pioneer DEH-P7700MP + iPod adapter that I took out of my old car before I sold it.

Is there anything else I'll to to get or look out for when I do the swap, like any cable adapters etc??

I needed a wiring adapter to take the wiring from my car to my headunit (without cutting wires)... Also I bought an aerial signal booster, though I've heard it's not neccessary... despite the guy in the audio shop said I'd need it (don't regret buying it though it's doubled the stations I used to get, with far better signal too).

I got mine from a specialist audio shop, but Halfrauds definately do them

As your in hull then i can let you have a wiring adaptor and aerial booster for free if you want them?

You don't need to buy an Autoleads facia adaptor, Skoda do one of their own. The part number is on my website.

For a Pioneer you should need a wiring adaptor either, should have the required bullet connectors to swap over the perm and ignition feeds.

Aerial booster however is required as the base isnt amplified.

Sounds much better.. and still only on the stock speakers.

I do miss the flush fitting Skoda unit but the change is worth it.
