Hi all,

 

I have recently replaced the driver side window regulator on my vrs and when trying to lower the window it seems to stick and then it will eventually go down normally. Sometimes it works flawlessly. The window will always go back up absolutely fine. Anyone had a similar issue?

Hi Marcus, and welcome to the community.

I hope I can help, however my experience is on the MK1 Octavia's. But I found adding grease to the bars where the wires/plastic sliders helped a lot. Basically, any part that moved I greased it. Also make sure the plastic slider is seated correctly on the bar for it to move freely.

Hi, I had this same problem. I have come back to the post to say how I sorted it out. I placed my glass on the wrong side of a strip of rubber that is next to the wing mirror, I took the glass out again, refitted it and no more wind noise or stiff glass going up,
