I require some help:confused:

I would like a laptop that needs only to do the following,

1; be able to connect to the internet through wifi:confused: without cables,as I have broadband on my "main computor" which I can plug a router in.

2; be able to play DVD's on.

3; Hopeing to get a plug in TV tuner so i can use it as a TV / DVD player in the caravan.

Thats all i need it for as everything else is done on the main computor, hope that makes sense.:confused:

Virtually all new Laptops these days will do that if you add an external USB TV Tuner like the Freecom DVB.

Also worth a look at Dell Web Site they normally have some good offers on. General rule of thumb is to go for the best you can afford, Centrino Processor, Minimiun 512MB RAM with spare slot so you can upgrade later if required without binning the existing memory, and as big a hard drive as possible especially if you want to record TV or DVD's.

Graphics Card shouldn't be an issue as long as you don't want to play games on it as a lot of mid range Laptops will not run the latest games.

nebula digitv usb box is very good , about £86 from nebula ,or off ebay i just paid £60 inc postage ,approx 10 minutes to load software and find all the stations available and you can record up to 7 channels at the same time (on the same mutiplex) HDD space allowing , its about 5" by 3" box and comes with a remote control
