Subwoofer Install idea

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have the Yeti prefacelift with the Pq Discovery retrofit from a later model, i also have the skoda sound system with the amp under the passenger seat. I've been thinking of fitting a subwoofer from an Audi q3 or similar that fits in the spare wheel in the boot. My question is where is best to take the line level for the subwoofer? I will probably need to run an amp for the sub which isnt an issue. but as i cant seem to see any subwoofer out from either the head unit or the amp module, im a bit stuck as where to get the signal from.

Any help would be appreciated

Jonathan

Probably your best bet will be to use something like an audio controls LC2i (remote control is optional as well) and a harness adapter to pick off the rear (or front) speaker channels and convert them to a clean controllable line level signal.

there’s various threads on here about doing this (my own included in this section)
