Almost exactly a year ago I sold my low mileage, perfect condition car. The situation was different then and I rightly or wrongly let it go..... I had planned to keep it long term, damn!

 

Back to the now, I am looking for a well kept hopefully standard car that I can subtly upgrade for limited general use and the odd track day.

i have done quite a few TDs but only 2 in Skoda's, (quite enjoyable being the underdog).

 

i have looked in the usual places but they are thin on the ground generally and good ones rare!

 

if anyone has a suitable car that isn't a million miles away, please let me know. I am not adverse to a modified car but staying well away from the , "Max Power" brigade.

Apart from the one posted in the classifieds here last week I haven't seen any others that sounded good recently.

Currently the fb market places has loads for sale, and I’m sure even more within the groups. I try to direct a lot of people to our classifieds but it’s worth looking around.

 I did contact the guy who I sold my car to and I almost persuaded him to sell it back to me! At the 11th hour yesterday I failed!

 

I definitely don't do Facebook so unable to see the marketplace.  Happy to see any links if that is at all possible.

That is a fine looking car! I would miss that too.

 

I ran a mk1 2002 Octavia 1.6 for 12 years and 130k miles. Best car I've owned in 31yrs motoring. I would argue, best car Skoda ever made. 

Just bought the black MK1 vRS in the classifieds. Got it home yesterday evening but as yet haven't had time to go over it yet.

 

I have high hopes to be able to bring it up to a similar standard as my previous silver car above. We shall see...............

Back in 2002 I bought an 1.6 hatch and sold it at 2010 having only 57.000Km on the clock. Since day 2 I owned the hatch I dreamed of an 1.8T 4x4 estate. A Fabia 1.2HTP came, then both cars were traded in for a 1.2Tsi Roomster back in 2010. 

 

This September I sold my Roomie and bought my dream car. My beautiful oldie. It took me only 18 years to fulfil my dream. 

 

Now I need a front door speaker to replace and we are all set. So if anyone has any original working speaker I would be grateful to send it to me in Greece, no need to mention that I mean not for free. I want a factory one as I want to keep her as factory stated as it gets.

 

The strange thing is that I love even her scratches, dings and dents.

I have the same estate in the same colour, but just a 1.9TDi L&K.
