I write to ask for help with an issue I have with my park assist. My 2010 Octavia combi Vrs isnt beeping when Im trying to reverse park. I’ve checked the sensors and all are ok (I can hear the sound they do when engaging the reverse gear), and have also checked the software with my Vcds and everything seems ok. So, my last chance is to have a bad buzzer. The problem is that I’ve removed both B pillar trims and there’s nothing there (as it’s supposed to be).

I just bought the car with this error and the previous owner said that the sound came from the front side of the interior when it was fully working. So, any ideas of alternative buzzer locations for our Octys combi mk2?? Thank you so much in advance for any help! 

The unit usually resides behind B pillar trim AFAIK.

 

Perhaps there is a volume setting via dashboard or radio that's muted it.

Yep, that’s what I’ve been reading on every post. But happens that isn’t there in my car. It actually has the buzzer-shaped groove in the pillar itself, but no buzzer. Not even the drilling to screw it in. So that’s why Im so lost. The previous owner says that it sounded inthe front end of the cabin. Thanks anyway!
