I have a MK2 pre-FL Greenline superb BUT, am looking for a Mk3, son has VW Passat 1.6 2016 and i was wondering............

 

Is VCDS/VAGCOM the best choice for us to have?

Personally, I'd highly recommend OBDeleven with the pro license. 

 

I use it professionally on a daily basis, dead user friendly, it cost's less than £100, works on your phone or tablet, will do pretty much everything you need it to and more and there are no restrictions for use. 

 

I had VCDS for over 10 years then when the V2 dongle came along with a £500 price tag I defected and I've never looked back.
