I'm trying to modify the bulb options and its behind the Cent. Elec. security code part. I have Octavia 2010 FL

 

Does anyone know the code this in VCDS?

What do you mean by modifying the bulb options?

 

With that style of BCM, the lighting config is a part of the BCM EEPROM which VCDS can't access. Typically, you'll need VCP or ODIS-e to tweak the lighting config.

 

It might be better to say what you're trying to achieve

I saw that you can change the coming home option lights in there, example to activate low beam or fog lights in that part.

 

That is one part what im trying to enable. Just need the code. Was at the dealer in my place but they didnt have the code as the guy who works on this is on vacation so have to wait for at least 2-3 weeks...

On my 2012 car I changed those options via the long coding helper. There were tick boxes to enable and disable the options.

 

I've honestly no idea what you're trying to do or under what menu you're doing it but it seems wrong.

If you have a genuine VCDS cable then the code will show as you hover over the security code box.

What version are you using?

I have 18.9 , it should be original, as I understood it doesn’t show on this part but on the engine.... not sure 

Your MK2 Octavia is electrically very different to a MK7 Golf so the instructions in that video won't work for you.

Once you updated, post an autoscan and we can go from there

Hi, I downloaded the 20.12 but it doesn’t recognize the cable, as the cable is 18.9 , works only on 18.9

So when you click on coding there is no Long coding helper option?

There is , I’ve enabled everything what I needed but the part for this option to add the coming home lights is apparently behind that part and I don’t have the security code, tried all the mentioned above. Everything is working just need the code to enter that part...

 

Ah I see.

 

Then you won't be able to change it with VCDS I think.

 

I'm almost certain that option is only available with xenons coded.

 

And needs to be done via VCP or Odis I believe.

Due to the potential problem in using clone cables, Briskoda has stated in the Site Guidelines that discussion regarding these is not allowed.

When an OEM cable is purchased then people will be able to assist further.
