Boot hooks etc

Featured Replies

My octavia seems to have blanks in place where I thought the fold down luggage/bag hooks would be. How does yours look?

I’m talking about the blanks to the left and right of the seat release. My last octavia mk3 estate had strong fold away hooks in place of those blanking plates similar to these

Looking at the online reviews, the one on the right seems to be for the tow bar release. I can't find one that shows the one on the left but could it be to disable the sensors if towing or something similar?

I have the tow bar specced on mine so I'll feedback then but no delivery date yet.

yes my fabia also had them but now seems you get them other hooks that are a bit **** tbh

I've noticed the lack of decent hooks, having come from a Superb which had not only the foldaway ones but more of the fixed smaller ones.  I'm not sure what use the T shaped sprung hook is as it's quite low so doesn't really keep a shopping bag upright.  There appear to be 2 of the small hooks each side, but they're not much use for bags with bigger/thicker handles like the jute reusable ones for example.

The right side blank is for the tow bar release - I've got it on mine as below.

Annoyingly I kept the boot nets from my Superb hoping to use them in the Octavia but there isn't a high level hook at the rear so the side pocket ones don't fit - pity as they were really useful and stopped everything sliding around the boot.
