2 button key fob stays illuminated

Featured Replies

I brought this Skoda fabia and the central locking was not working, after changing the battery the little led light stays illuminated on the key and still will not unlock or lock the car. I only have 1 key for that car.

Would strongly recommend the below if you only have 1 key. It won't start the car but will open the door should you lock the only key in the car, or the questionable electrics built into Fabias allowing it to lock itself, There is a method for re-syncing the remote but the light staying on suggests another issue. Is there possibly an issue with the key casing maintaining pressure on the actuator switch.

Thankyou for this response. I will definitely look into getting another key cut for the car. Central locking isn't the end of the world for me but it's just annoying having the light stay illuminated atleast until it runs out of battery again. Maybe with a second key I could try resync that old key because it was flashing until I took it apart again and now it's just staying illuminated
