Problems with new Octy vRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

Having own my '55 vRS 1 week now (has now done a total of 512 miles) I have a few problems I need to take back to the dealer. Before I do - can any of you advise me whether these are "real" problems or just me being picky?

Definite problems are:

1. The dealer failed to fit any parking sensors even though I paid for them - they were meant to call tuesday to organise it but failed to..(*not* happy about that!)

2. The boot will not open now (The catch felt very stiff before and had a lot of movement - quite unlike my old furby)

3. The cigarette lighter was missing

4. The owners manual was missing from the info pack

Possible problems are :

5. The brakes make an awful groaning sound when the cars moves very slowly (say parking)

6. From the rear the exhaust looks as if it aint level

7. the front vRS badge isnt perfectly level

So ... is any of this "normal" .. I never had any kind of problem with my furby and this has left a sour taste in my mouth (especially today when the boot broke)...

*and* i can't even thrash it yet 'cos it aint done 1000 miles :(

advice appreciated

Oh .. and I forgot:

8. When releasing the clutch in low (<2500) revs and with the window down I can hear a click/clamp sound - not too loud - but sounds like might be too much play some where in the clutch/gearbox

I'm *relly* not sure about this last one - i only just noticed it this evening and it may be me being too sensative to anything on the car now ;)
