1.4 TSI DQ200 Issue :(

Featured Replies

Its a 2015 Skoda 1.4 TSI with the DSG 7 DQ200 Gearbox, had a situation where the car while driving lost acceleration, got stranded and so I thought of restarting but the car wouldn't turn back on. It did turn back on couple of times if I removed and reinserted the 30 AMP fuse going to the gearbox. An indie checked it and said better claim warranty with dealer since there is a TSB on it for the hydraulic pump. Sent to dealer, dealer said nope, sorry 5000 GBP (in local currency) to replace mechatronic please. So I said no thanks, please send the car back to me. The fuse trick no longer worked after I got the car back. and after a lot of googling, decided to replace the mechatronic valve body but retain the old TCU since the indie working on it said it looked fine, no burn marks. Went ahead and got the job done but still no ignition, the VCDS says the auto trans controller is not reachable. I already checked the fuses and entire fuse box A and B, everything is in order. Should I replace the TCU as well now? Is there a way to confirm if its a connecter or an earth point issue?

Attached a photo of the TCU i found the mechanic had whatsapped me
