Rollback

Featured Replies

Hi new to the forum and just bought myself a Yeti. It is a 2014 170 dsg which has had the emissions fix applied. I have contacted a tuner who tells me he can’t find a file to roll my car back to. I am wanting to do this before I have the car remapped.
My engine is CFJA, my ecu and file is 03L906018SE/9977.

Can anyone help with a file?

Doesn't look like Skoda ever released a pre-fix update for your ECU given these are all 9970+: https://vag-flashinfo.de/index.php?partno=03L906018SE

I think the unfixed version is probably 6356 based on this post: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/14155/

The most obvious options are to try and find an identical unfixed car as they might be able to copy the pre-fix software off or try and buy an unfixed ECU :/

Thanks for the reply. Yes I joined a Facebook thing about the rollback and that’s what they said too, I would imagine it wouldn’t be easy finding either of the 2.

I did some searching and found this.

My local tuner reckoned it is probably the right file but he wouldn’t be happy installing an unknown file.

There are mapping places that do have access to the cars original map to reinstall.

How would I find such a place? I’ve rung 3 local ones and they couldn’t help, one actually told me mine hadn’t had the fix though with the 9977 file but offered me a remap😀

Google "Skoda emissions fix rollback"

Edit: unit18.co.uk do it quite cheaply in Milton Keynes.

For the sake of £20-25, I'd be tempted to buy the file and ask your tuner to take a look to see if it's plausible...

Assuming it is, a quick rolling road session should highlight any obvious issues.

Yes that’s the way I’m leaning, he is just worried it may brick my ecu or something.

There is loads round my area that advertise doing it but there is a problem with mine as they can’t find a file to roll it back to.

 Thanks for the suggestion though.
