Missing an update?

Featured Replies

Last Monday, the 25th, when I turned on the ignition of my Kamiq there was a warning message that an update download had been aborted because the car battery charge was low.  The battery charge problem was solved by a round trip of 80+ miles for my Covid 19 jab, but I haven't yet had any notification about there being an update waiting to be  downloaded or an update having been downloaded.

Does anyone know what this update was, please?

Turn your ignition on without the engine running for 1 minute turn off should have updated

ŠKODA Auto is constantly improving and simplifying our services. We would like to inform you about a planned maintenance which will cause the unavailability of ŠKODA Connect services for Scala or Kamiq model lines starting from 20.00 26th January to 8.00 27th January.

To have all your data updated (in App and Portal) after the maintenance is completed, you will need to switch on the ignition of your vehicle for at least one minute, and then switch it off.

We would like to apologize to you for the inconvenience caused by this temporary outage. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for being a valued ŠKODA Connect user.

I wondered about that one but discounted it as it refers to the 26th and 27th January and the message I had was there about 08:00 on the 25th.

Also, I took that to refer to an outage on the Skoda Connect app (which there certainly was on those days, 26th and 27th) and that the update of data referred to was data being transferred from the car to the App and Portal whereas the message I had referred to a download.

Surely, too, if there had been an update take place, there would have been a notification of it succeeding.
