Would it be possible to fit an OEM roof rack for mk2 combi to a mk3 or are the widths that much different?

The part number is 3T0 071 151.

go to Thule website and you can see which is required for each midel

Thanks, I checked and they do share the same Thule kits but aren’t Skoda roof racks fixed in width?

I’m not sure as I haven’t own any but my OEM BMW racks are not adjustable in any way.

I use a set of Thule aero bars and different feet for different. Are, all use the same length of aero bar. The way they are designed they slide on the feet to centre on the car
