Air Conditioner / Defogger delay

Featured Replies

2010 Superb.

Over the summer my AC started acting up, especially on hot days - would be OK in the AM, but on the drive home, would sometimes not kick in at all for 5-10 minutes and blast me with hot air

Brought it in and they said the AC was low and recharged it.

Afterwards I have noticed that while it no longer blows hot, for the first six minutes, it does not blow cold.  Not great, but livable for a 10+ year old car.  But now in the winter, I have noticed that I have the same delay before the defroster kicks in, which is more of a problem.

I'm pretty sure that before this summer it would blow cold almost instantly and never had a fogging issue either.

Anyone have a similar issue?  Any ideas?

this was covered recently with a cure. I don't recall the exact thread but search for all ac related threads and you will find it.
