I'm so sorry Skoda, for cheating on you...

...but I promise to be faithful from now!

I'm back in an Octavia and I couldn't be happier. Picking this 2.0L TDI Elegance up today, in race blue with tons of extras. 84k on the clock, which is pretty reasonable for a '13 plate too.

I sold my '63 vrs a year ago for a Merc c350e, after 12 years in octavias...But boy has life changed a lot (thanks covid) since then and it makes sense to step back into my comfort zone.

Ive missed this forum and I look forward to chatting over on the mk3 section!

Am I forgiven?

You've redeemed yourself. Very lucky indeed!

Looks good. Just out of interest, other than Bi-Xenons and Panoramic roof, what does the spec list look like?

Cheers! It came up locally and is a pretty rare find, in this spec, I think.

From what I can tell, it has;

  • Sunroof
  • Columbus screen
  • Parking assistant
  • Xenons
  • Heated seats
  • Heated front screen
  • Heated washer nozzles
  • Spacesaver
  • Detachable towbar
  • Cornering fogs
  • DRLs
  • LED rears
  • High beam control & rain sensor

I think it may have crew assist/rear airbags too, but not 100% sure how to check without inflating them! haha. Also not sure whether it has the Bluetooth signal boost extra (how to tell?).

I'm currently tidying up some of the paintwork issues (nothing major, but giving it some TLC) and doing a few minor modifications to personalise it a little. I do love these cars!

Kessy and Canton are the only significant omissions (the latter very significant to me after having one in my previous vRS, but I'll fit a 3rd party system soon enough).

Wow!

Whoever specc'd that car really threw the kitchen sink at it. Certainly enough toys to be getting on with.

You've got a good, rare find there. Really nice car!

Hope you manage to get the 'Steering Headlights'  (AFS) issue solved soon...

Will watch out for updates. Please post when you can.. Ta

Yeah, from what I'm told it was originally by a Skoda dealership director, and they used it to showcase the new mk3 model, so money was thrown at it! He/she obviously wasn't a big music lover though :P

Aye, I've got the OBD11 dongle and have coded a few things already. Hopefully I can sort the AFSII issue out as well!

Cheers fella.
