Cost saving a few pennies saved here and there pushes up the profit margin on each car. My flat Energy Blue is a free colour yet Race Blue Metallic is several hundreds of pounds extra but in reality doesn't cost anywhere near that in a car factory using robots and mass production but people (including me) pay the extra charge.

My 20 plate is the same colour as the exterior, and I have added the now deleted under bonnet sound deadening cover.

Must be a Friday car. All I have seen are the same as the outside.

 

My 70 plate is grey both sides of the bonnet, even after adding a load of sound deadening material to the underside and the sound absorbing mat Skoda choose to leave off its later models, it's still grey underneath.

The plot thickens! Has my bonnet been replaced by the dealer before I bought it from new?
