Remove rear passenger ashtray

Featured Replies

Anyone know how to do this? It's not obvious from the workshop manual other than "unclip", but I can only unclip the right hand side of the cover:

However I'm not sure whats going on with the left hand side but pulling with some force doesn't seem to do anything:

I'm just trying to remove it to see if I can figure out why the bottom of the ashtray cover is catching on the trim surround:

e.g:

u unclip (pull upwards) the right side from the hinge, then slide it out (towards the right) from the left hinge.

i found it easier to unclip the cover first though, before trying to remove it out.  there r two clips at the top u can pry apart, and there r two clips at the bottom of it.

Thanks, I’ll give that a go
