What happens next?

There will be no clousre of the rodside hotel subforum. It serves and has served a very useful and good purpose. A place to have, and to continue to have serious conversations without diversion.

To that end, if you just drop a video, screenshot or twitter esq embedd with no comment, please don't be upset if you find it gone. This means no proxy posting, explain yourself, explain why with this clip, insert, you feel, or agree/disagree. Add some of your own words, in the spirit of this, to illustrate/explain your post.

So it turns out that VW Group dropped a F Bomb on LG who thought they were in the big plan for the roll out of more and more VW Group EV's.

That seems like par for the course with suppliers and contractors.

More batteries for lower prices for those who are willing to pick up the slack from LG I imgaine.

The whole debate on pouches vs prismatic vs cylindrical has a lot of facets to it too.

I would imagine the truth probably includes a degree ofcheaper batteries from China per kWh, particularly as a lot of the raw materials are owned/contracted by China.

That combined with the Chinese market being a big one for VW.

It will be interesting to see how many companies still want to get involved with VW in a few years, or if they will get involved but the cost for VW is greater combined with lower investment by the other side.

When VW tried to bend Suzuki over and assume the position Suzuki were the ones that got their own back with the help of Toyota.  They bought back the last of their shared from VW just before the Emissions Scandal broke.   That in 2015 is what changed the speed that got VW to this point in time.    Scandalised and forced to going Electric.   The customers keep coming to them and corporations also to partner with them until VW blow then off.
