Octavia First Edition SEL 1.5 petrol

Featured Replies

I have found that the engine seems to skip every so often when driving, almost like misfiring without the noise. Its just a small jump from time to time. Is anyone experiencing anything similar?

Could be the ACT engaging / disengaging? (Does it coincide with the Eco light coming on or off)

I will keep my eye on it, but it seems pretty random.

I noticed that with mine, seems to miss a beat every now and then.

As DuncanW mentioned, mine does coincide with the ACT 2-cylinder activation/deactivation. Pleased to note that this ACT applies in each of the three Drive Modes I have.

It may well be that then. Less bothered now!

Mine does the same.  When I drove a courtesy car with the same engine, however it did not, which led me to ask the dealer to have a look at mine.  That will be on the 7th.

My car just doesn’t feel or sound quite as smooth.

Interesting. I will ask my dealership to have a look at it.

No issues with mine, the ACT transition is imperceptible.

I’ve got the older 1.4 ACT in Leon guise currently - about 99% of the time I don’t notice any transition, just under certain conditions & engine load you can feel a slight blip as it does it.

My wife had the 2018 Karoq Edition 1.5tsi and when that switched to 2 cylinders, the only way you knew was the “eco” on the dash. Totally seamless.
Different car I know, but not sure why the Octy would be any different. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm not sure it is the change over to be honest. Think it is something else. Just a small judder at random. It's weird
