Newbie Skoda Connect question

Featured Replies

Hi,

thanks for adding me to the group. Sorry in advance if this is a simple or daft question.

I have just bought Kodiaq VRS and am puzzled about WLAN/Connect Portal.

what does it do and is it worth purchasing?

Infotainment and connect portal are £44 and £36 and not sure what exactly they offer.

having seen in my wife’s Volvo the smartphone features of checking location, fuel, lock unlock and even remote start is it similar?

also how do I go about getting a wifi hub in the car to allow my daughters iPad to connect?

lastly has anyone idea how to add an iPad holder to passenger seat rear in a VRS?

thsnks in advance for any responses.

Full details about what you get are listed here: ŠKODA CONNECT (skoda-connect.com)

The Skoda Connect app gives you similar features to the Volvo one by the sound of it, but not the remote starting as fat as I know.

I have a WiFi hub in my Karoq, but you have to pay for an extra dataplan to power it, or use your mobile phone as a data connection. For your Kodiaq it may well depend on which infotainment system you have fitted, but the owner's manual may tell you more.
