Light configuration

Featured Replies

Hi guys in the     light setting function on the multifunctional screen on the Skoda it says switch on time     and then a box appears with with  early ,  medium , light   what does that actually mean I cannot see any difference in anything I've tried what does the function actually do I thought it was something to do with the auto light system but I do not think it is is please advise

It determines how early or late the auto lights switch on.

Sorry could you explain a little bit more in detail please is it do with the light conditions that the sensor pick up sorry I'm just little bit lost

If you want the auto lights to come on early ( when it’s just starting to get dark) then select early. If you want them to come on when it’s darker, select later. Cant make it any simpler than that.

Thanks a lot mate I think I know what you're talking about now it's all to do with the sense of picking up the light conditions when you require the lights to come on earlier or later I will try this out the next few days

Yes, this is exactly it. Having said that, I don't find mine turning on early enough (snow doesn't mean they'll turn on, for example, and fog also doesn't help. But setting them to turn on with wipers is great as it means I don't have to remember.

The wife's car turns its lights on super-early, the Octavia is set to Late, I think, and I find that OK.
