2.0 tdi Inlet manifold Actuator

Featured Replies

Hi There,

Until recently I was of the impression that the actuator and inletanifold (flappers) had to be bought as one from skoda. I have had the inlet manifold fitted alomg with the copy actuator. The garage explained they'd fixed it but alas the eml came back on before I'd even driven from the garage.

Whilst I can't blame anubody as I supplied the parts I have since Learnt that most motor factors actually stock the actuator. As I'm going to have to fit another I wondered as its only the actuator itself how easy is it. Would the actuator need coding in. Otherwise it looks like airbox out and a bolting excersize.

Can anybody advise.?

Answered my own question today as I pulled the plug off the one fitted and plugged into another and it works straight out of the box.

Randomly the eml went out today. So had a quick look and low and behold the motor is now moving the inlet flappers. I guess all I can do now is monitor. Worst case the light reappears and I buy one from a more established supplier and fit myself.
