VDU change

Featured Replies

Hi. I have been doing some research as I have ongoing problems with my VDU and want to swap it out. I have read that it can be done whereas others say you can do it but you won’t have the correct mileage amongst other things. My question is if I have all the correct information can this be done so it is like standard?

The cluster.

Yes it can be done.

Depending which you have at the moment you can also upgrade to the Maxidot.

You just need to find the correct part (pre-facelift or facelift, diesel or petrol etc).

It can be a used cluster too. The immobiliser, programming and mileage can all be transferred over but requires specialist software (can't just be done with VCDS).

Thanks Phil. What is the other software that is needed?
