Just as a comparison.  I've had my 220bhp Combi for nearly 3 years.. it's getting handed back at the middle of July, I've been offered the car for £17,350..

Try this one, bit more expensive.

I just found a great car on Auto Trader.

Yes. A bit more than I wanted to pay. I have messaged to see if they still have it.

I had similar last September with mine, the one I bought had already been on the Skoda site and disappeared then came back when the buyer pulled out. I saw it back available one evening and rang the dealer the next morning, was “persuaded” to pay £250 deposit to take it off sale for me and viewed the following morning. Glad I did as it’s a great car and got decent enough spec for me. There seemed to be more L&K ones about when I was looking but they still sell quickly. Keep looking and be prepared to move fast with a deposit if one comes up that looks right, you can always get it refunded if it’s a no go.

I agree.

I bought mine second hand from a dealer in Liverpool in March 2020. I paid a £300 deposit (refundable) and paid for the car to be shipped closer to where I live (one of their other dealerships) for £90 (non-refundable) to inspect the car properly and then finalise the deal. The car was immediately marked as 'sold' on their website and was mine unless I refused it.

A week or so earlier (Feb 2020) I saw a L&K appear at a Skoda main dealer near me - it was on their website but had sold before I could go and see it in person (and before the photos had been uploaded). It turned out to have a cream interior, which I didn't want - so it wasn't meant to be.

Long story short - they sell very quickly - but be patient and you'll find the right one. When you do find one, don't be afraid of moving quickly with a (refundable) deposit. The 280 L&K (or a well equipped Sportline) is definitely worth waiting for :)

Hi

Can anyone tell me what the ride is like on a sportline. I have a VRS on 18s and I don't enjoy the ride in it. Admittedly, it is an old car now, but it is just too firm and doesn't soak up all the potholes around me. Views appreciated. Chris

I came from a MK II VRs and the Superb irons out the bumps much, much better.  Unsurprisingly the Superb rolls a bit more though

I find the ride fine on 19’s in mine. Roads are rubbish so loads of potholes to avoid but providing I do that I don’t have any complaints about the ride comfort and I came from a mk2 140se diesel superb on 17’s and a mk1 octy vrs on 17’s before that. Never had an issue with any of those car rides really.
