New Skoda - Ambient lighting question

Featured Replies

Hi all, picked up my new Skoda superb this weekend. Got a question about the ambient lighting strips. They only come on when I open the doors. Is this the way they work? I thought you would be able to have them on constantly if you choose to but can’t seem to work out how to do this. Are they only supposed to light when you open the doors?

They come on with doors open or headlights on in my car. On the Octy they were always on. Need to find that adaptation lol

They r always on in mine (MY17), regardless of door or headlight status.

It's just during the daytime they r hard to see, even at max brightness.

I’m not sure if this is a 2020 change, certainly on other cars I’ve coded they were always on, but not on the 2020.

I'll check my MY20 later but I'm pretty sure its as @SashaGrace describes, only on when doors are open or headlights are on

Confirmed this is how it works in my MY20 as well
