Colour

Featured Replies

Hi I’m new to the forum and I’m sure I’m not the first person to touch on this

I’m buying my first Skoda a new build Octavia vrs I wanted meteor grey not because it was a free option but because I genuinely like it

however my dealer has told me the colour is no longer available

so.. what do you guys have and think? What colour do you have are you happy with your choice or wished you had picked differently

👍

@Col46Dude...I´m mad I even opened your post. See the thing is...I ordered may RS in march. The regular colours were white, meteor gray and red. I choose red, cause I think it looks amazing.

BUT, BUT...since you said thet the grey was no longer availiable for you, I went to check if it is still availiable for my market (Slovenia).....and it˙s not.

BUt, BUT, BUT - guess what - now the regular colour which is availiable is MAMBA GREEN!!!!!!!! And this in my oponion looks just bonkers.....F**k...

Now I have to contact my dealer to se if I can change my order :)

So my opinion ..RED is beautifull - but MAMBA GREEN.....oh my....absolutely amazing

Meteor grey estate hopefully here shortly. Had one previously and currently got a black pearl mk3.5 estate. Shame that meteor grey is no longer an option!

I did enquire about changing my order to mamba green a couple if months ago though, but couldn't do it! (My partner hates this colour, but I like it)

Did Skoda not let you or your partner? I’m going to ask tomorrow as I have to give them a colour choice to order my car

Mamba green wasn't properly out at the time, so I couldn't change it (I think this may have been mid-March). I think we need more cars in vibrant colours.

Whatever you choose will be the right one!

Did you see the "real" images on our Skoda FB group? :) I would say it looks much much better on this render picture than on the "real" ones.

Are you still asking to change from red?
My local dealer and a well known online car buying platform I’ve just spoken to are unaware the green exists!
So that doesn’t sound to promising for us in 🇬🇧

I will talk to my dealer today - but as @TheUltraRunner suggested I have to check live images first. Renders are not always accurate.

If the colour in real life looks like these pics then I love it

it looks ace

trouble is it will become that popular it will become the new race blue and every car you see driving around will be green!

Looks awesome! My meteor grey is sitting at Grimsby docks as of yesterday, so no way of changing my order

Thing is I love the meteor grey but can’t have it! Skoda stopped the option on the 20th April but the dealers didn’t know and were still selling it.

my ideal car would be mamba green tsi  dsg 4 wheel drive

if Skoda made that they would sell loads

In the UK the issue is that Skoda might sell loads to VW finance or Lease Companies but they will be back in at Dealers and at auction and not so much in demand as used cars in colours that are available early on to catch attention.

Reminds me of the awful lime green colour that Ford tried in the 1970s. More yellow than green.

Add some blue accents and it will look like every local traffic unit...

Not a fan I'm afraid but each to their own.

I see what your saying

but I still like it

it will definitely divide opinion if it’s not available as an option I think I’m picking silver as the best of the bad bunch of colours that’s left

It is a vehicle that means a driver will need to adhere to traffic laws and NSL's.

No undertaking or sneaking about incognito.    Not a vehicle for anyone having an extra marital affair or that likes a bit of dogging.

Perfect to load the roof with bikes and tag on to the tail of the convoy during the Tour of Britain.
