  1. I waited 10.5 months. Ordered early March, arrived mid Jan. Worth the wait though and thankfully nowhere near the number of issues some seem to have. Just a bit of wireless android auto instability so far.
  2. My car is a November '21 build and reports as shown in the picture. Not sure how this compares to others. It's done 300miles so far with no faults to report. Adaptive cruise works as expected, no infotainment issues (other than being needlessly complex to use on the move) and no phantom light activation or SoS related pops. 300miles isn't very much though, so I await the first issue...
  3. Finally had my March '21 order delivered today! Car looks great and is behaving itself for now although (as expected) the infotainment will take a bit of getting used to. Just got to get through the post-lease inspection of my old car without too many charges and it'll be a good day!
  4. My March order (VRS TSI hatch, manual, Race Blue (originally Meteor Grey), no other options) looks like it will finally be on my driveway next week. So it's taken just over 10 months... Not the 15 weeks I was originally quoted. It's just my theory but it seems like all cars ordered before the change from MY21 to MY22 were effectively reset as they had to be converted to a (albeit only slightly) different build standard. So they went into the mix with everything else ordered around that time (~July). It would explain the mixed up delivery order.
  5. I'm told my VRS TSI hatch (no options, Race Blue) will be arriving at the dealer any day now, so delivery to me early in the new year. Ordered beginning of March so 10 months lead time if delivery goes as expected. It was originally a MY21 build in Meteor Grey but had to change to Race Blue when converted to an MY22 build. I suspect my place in the build queue was reset when it was converted to the new model year. Might explain some of the inconsistencies in the way other orders are being fulfilled too (ignoring the larger semiconductor issue).
  6. In my youth I owned a MK2.5 Focus ST in electric orange. It's my favourite colour of any car I've owned. 15 years on, phoenix orange is therefore very tempting but for some reason I just dont think it suits the Octavia. Maybe I'm just getting more sensible (boring) or maybe it's that orange (and even moreso, hyper green) don't match Skoda's sensible image.
  7. Thanks for the info! I'm sure my car will take much the same route but once at UK port it'll be going to a dealer in England for prep before being delivered to my door in Fife. I'm getting my car on a lease, so all information is via the broker. Having that middleman always means the information available is more vague. No chance of seeing boat names!
  8. Finally some good news on my order! The dealer informed me today that my car is now finished and in transit to the UK. No actual information on where it is but looking like it should arrive in 2021... Just. Before Joss asks... Race Blue vRS TSI manual hatchback. Rear wiper is the only option. Order was placed in March.
  9. There were changes to the standard fit wheels on some lower models I think and the VRS now comes with virtual pedal as standard, previously an option.
  10. MY22 spec is captured in the latest downloadable brochure. They dropped some colours, changed some wheel options and made a couple of minor spec changes from the MY21 model. Biggest change for me (VRS) was removal of meteor grey, making all standard metallic colours FoC and adding virtual pedal to standard spec.
  11. I'm in the same situation as you. Ordered in March. In July I was told it had an unconfirmed build week (week 34), which has now passed (last week) and I'm now back to 'build week not allocated'. Not even allocated another provisional build week, so just right back to the start (or so it feels).
  12. I ordered in March and for the past month, Skoda UK have been telling me my car has an unconfirmed build week of 23rd Aug (that's now next week). Just 2 days ago I was told it was still an unconfirmed build date and they won't know if it's going ahead until next week. Surely even in this world of component shortages they should be able to predict the vehicles they will be building 1 week in advance... Even if they are destined for storage and completion later.
  13. I ordered mid-March and have an unconfirmed build estimate of last week in August, delivery hopefully end of September / start of October if it doesn't get added to the carpark of partially built cars. Mines also a standard car, so lead times seem mostly decoupled from added options. I'll be very surprised if it's delivered in-line with the dealer's latest prediction but he has to be right eventually...
  14. You are quite right, so thanks for correcting me! I opted for silver as I was told it was the FoC colour but I'll have to reassess my options (after educating the supplying dealer). I would even consider velvet red for £380 if it was nice but haven't seen it in person. It looks like a solid red in images/videos. Can anyone comment on it? Well informed dealers seem hard to come by and it's especially difficult when there's a middle-man (leasing broker).
  15. As usual, there's contradictory information from different Skoda sources. Having to change my VRS order from Meteor Grey... - 2 dealerships say that the new standard (free) colour is brilliant silver. - Latest brochure says hyper green is free with the other metallics a cost option. - Skoda UK configurator says all metallics are free on the VRS. Just seems like guesswork all round!
