Octavia I Movement from Tie Rod Ends

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I believe I have some excess movement in my tie rod ends, and some vibration that is noticeable at pretty much every speed although no clue if that's from tie rods or bent hub because my new brake rotors keep warping (I don't drive like a racer btw). Mechanic changed my tie rod ends probably a year ago and it's kind of weird if they are already shot so maybe you guys can confirm if that's normal or not.

You can see the movement in there. And if they're not genuine and after market, I found that they don't last as long. No harm in changing them again for genuine Skoda one or very high quality after market part as they're not that expensive.

Or track rod ends?

From 13 to 19 seconds in the video it looks like you have movement in both inner tie rod and outer track rod end joints.

Thanks, AG Falco

Yeah, looks like the rod's knckered at both ends. Febi Bilstein ones aren't particularly expensive on ebay.
