Front impact problems

Featured Replies

I returned to my car to find the external temp gauge and the reversing sensors not working and the engine management and seat belt lights staying on also tire pressure warning. on checking round the car it appears that someone has reversed/ driven into the front of my car, barely any damage.

Any clues as to what has happened ??

Thanks

Martin

Check / charge the Battery first.

Is it the original car battery?

Hi All

I have checked the battery connections all OK, Plugged in a OBD2 reader and the only fault showing up is the outside temp sensor so I have ordered a new one.

My problem is now the location of the sensor, it's not behind the offside fog lamp cover as previous models  are and I don't want to take the front of the car off to find it, any help ?

Thanks

All sensors need a good voltage to work.

When you get several warnings for unconnected problems charge and check the battery voltage first.

A low / old battery can have a low voltage but still work ok.

This low voltage could be the reason for your warnings.

I got a break failure warning due to a dying battery.

Get it tested at a local garage. Even halfords can test it. These Mk3 fabias kill batteries.
