The Xenon light on my 2011 Superb Elegance has stopped working. I fitted a new Headlamp Control Init (ballast unit). The light started to work again then after ahort time of about 2 mile ir stopped working again also the bendy lights stopped. I took to a VAG repair shop who tells me there is an open circuit on the lighting system. Has anyone experienced this fault and if so how was it resolved. I am a retire pensioner and cannot afford repeated visits to the repair shop.

Only advice I can offer is to find a decent auto electrician to trace the fault. They can read the circuit diagrams and cut them in half each time to locate the fault quicker and more efficiently than a "parts cannon" mechanic who keeps replacing things until the fault is found.
