Mk1 Octavia Correct Spring Lenght

Featured Replies

So I recently replaced all coil springs for my Octavia, as you can see on the picture the front is higher than the rear. I might have ordered longer springs for the front. I ordered them from autodoc. I wanted all of them to be from SACHS, for front there was more options, but for rear only one. Front - 363mm Rear - 236mm

So can someone tell me what is the correct lenght for the springs?

Thank you.

Do you still have the original springs that you took off?

The sequence of paint colour marks on them are the easiest way to identify the part numbers. There will be a few different possibilities.

No, not least because you get different front springs for the 1.6 petrol, 1.8T and 1.9D engines, since they have different weights, and there is no information in your personal details, your OP, or the picture (nice car though) as to which engine or trim level you have. The RS has shorter springs than the Classic, Ambiante, Elegance or L&K trim levels.

I have them, but even with them the cars front looked higher, so im guessing the previous owner didnt change to correct ones aswell. And now I did the same thing.
