Although I am not from the UK, I have registered myself on this forum a few months ago and Ive start reading the threads all the time.
This is my story:
I have been looking for a new car, and after a few months of thinking, I decided for an Octavia. Golf 8, Koleos have been in competition. Ive never driven a Skoda, nor a car with an automatic transmision, so this was a first condition, however I wanted some additional equipment on the top of the Style package. So, after a few days of thinking, looking for the price, we made the deal.
On the top of Style package, 2.0 TDI 150HP, DSG, I added:
Dynamic package which include: sport seats, front grill frame in black (instead of chrome) aft spoiler, black decoration around the windows, dark roof, three spoke steering wheel, aluminium pedals, tinted aft windows and sport suspension. Colour of the car is black,
Perseus graphite 18" rims,
Driving mode,
Park assist,
Ambient lighting
Usb c back and on the windshield,
Canton speakers,
Electric openning/closing of the trunk,
Parking assist...
As this is custom order, e.d. out of serial production
Initial waiting time was 2 months. I have asked the dealer to speed up delivery, however no luck. One idea cross my mind - I found contacts of all directors and managers and I wrote them an email explaining that I am a seaman, short time home and if there is any chance to speed up delivery, otherwise I will not see my car when I go back on the ship. As it was friday, no one replied. I couldnt wait, so I started calling them. The first who answered, said to send him email, than he asked for region, what car and purschase order number. Once I provide him, he replay that my car will be produced in the 11th, e.d. mid of March. He reduced the waiting time for about one month. On the 11th week I got an email from the person responsible for sales of east Europe that my car will be made as it was discused. Two days later, he updated me that my car is already made, and its on the way to main dealer in Serbia. Additional 2 weeks I was waiting car to be transferred from Serbia to Montenegro, the reason of that is because Montenegro is small market, need to wait to fill lorry by 8 cars.
So car is with me almost 2 months, and meet my exceptations more than enough. There were few glitches, bugs on infotainment system when the screen got frozen, or when parking assist failed even not using it, but restarting the car made bugs to diseppear by itself. One more objection is that I noticed when breaking, upon releasing the pedal, I can hear some banging sound from the trunk. This sound  I can hear only when on low speed breaking till almost the car stop.

Upon production, during the openning of the trunk door, I can hear some I guess some bolt or nut rolling.
Appart of this - no other objections. 150hp is enough for me. After using two months, there is nothing really I feel sorry what I could add regarding equipment.
Trunk space is huge, more than enough to store everything I want.
I ordered obd11, once they break protections, I would like to unlock some parameters showing on instrument cluster etc...

Welcome to the forum - and your new Skoda . With those extras you added it will be a very nice car. I hope you enjoy it and it serves you well.

 

You can add pictures easily with a post, easier in a web browser than an app I think. There is a separate thread for pictures.
