Hi All

 

Just a quick one on wheel studs.  Are they the same configuration between the Mk1 and Mk2 ie will Mk 1 wheels fit on Mk2 hubs?

Yes a lot of VAG wheels will fit as long as they're 5x100

No. That's when the Furbie changed from a 5x100 hub to a 5x112.

 Not on the fabia as the mk 1,2 & 3 all sit on the same platform and have the same wheel PDC 5X100

All correct but be careful as some Fabia's have 14 inch rims some 15 some 16 and 17 and newer 18 and 19 inch   which look great   ---------until you drive them. some bigger rims rub the inner wings without proper tyre sizes and can effect the gearing on the original car

Mk3 Fabia can come with the option of 18" rims. 

There have never been 19" rims on Mk1, Mk2 or Mk3 Fabia's as as option.

 

There was never 18" rims as an Option on Mk1 or Mk2 Fabia.

They do fit.  Audi A1's could have 18" Rims as an option.

No, both mk1 and mk2 are 5x100 stud pattern.

They were only put on to test fit. I kinda like them in the silver though, they look better in silver on the mk1. I only wanted to try them out as I intend on using these as a winter set this year.

The reason for my post was actually around winter tyres.  I have been offered a set of the same sized wheels from a Mk1 as is on my Mk2 - complete with pretty much unused winter tyres.

Fit fine, just be sure to double check the tyre sizes on both. The 16s need a bigger tyre to make them the same height as the 17s my car has standard. Any bigger or smaller than whats on your car will mess with your speedo.
