Hi this is a weird one, was traveling around in 4th gear, sudden Los of power and strong juddering from engine compartment, shifted into third engine coped but it was noisy sounding like an old fashion diesel.

Stopped, checked timing belt which I recently replaced, started the engine to find out where the noise came from, it ran normally again, no weird noises. Drove off, no problem, got home.

I've talked to a VW mechanic and he said it could be a sticking fuel pump, he said to put in an additive in the diesel which will lubricate the pump.

I will keep you posted.

It's more likely to be an electrical issue, possibly the injector loom starting to break down.
