Roof Bars For Estate/ Combi

Featured Replies

Anyone bought a pair of roof bars for the Mk4 Estate/Combi.  I've been looking but never had a car with the flush rails before and don't look as secure as the raised rails on my old Karoq. Any advice on what to look for.

Thanks,

Chris

Short answer is ‘no I haven’t’ - longer answer includes ‘yet’ !

I’m at the same stage as you, I reckon. I have a pair of Thule bars that fit those with normal rails but not the flush ones. I’m pondering new Thule fittings or the Skoda branded bar set.

I have a set of atera bars for sale for a MK4 as I have now fully rejected the octavia and bought another make.  Private message if you’d like details or interested as I’ve not got round to putting an advert in.  They’re brand new and unused!

Halfords do a set with clamps for flush roof rails.  I have them for my current car (Leon estate) and will use them on my incoming Octavia.

They just clamp on to the rail.  I've done long motorway journeys with a big roof box and they were fine.

I have Thule bars from February and they are always on. Mainly for carying bike. They are great, at speeds above 130km and glass roof, you do not hear nothing...
