  1. I ordered a couple of weeks ago and was told mid December so sounds about the same. vRS TSI DSG estate.
  2. Debating whether to change my vRS order now... Silver was the free colour when I ordered a couple of weeks ago but I'd prefer the grey or black I think. Quite like the green but don't think the other half would approve!
  3. This seems crazy that there's no traditional 12V / cigar lighter in the car. Looks like I'll need an extension for my tyre inflator! Does anyone know if the USB C ports are 5V only, or if they support higher voltages aka Power Delivery? If so it might be possible to get an adapter cable to give a 12V socket.
  4. Thanks, sounds the same as my current Leon estate. Not sure if it has a weight limit but I have had 150kg + of gravel on it before without issues.
  5. Halfords do a set with clamps for flush roof rails. I have them for my current car (Leon estate) and will use them on my incoming Octavia. They just clamp on to the rail. I've done long motorway journeys with a big roof box and they were fine.
  6. Hi all I had a mk2 vRS a few years ago and have recently ordered a new one! I have a new vRS estate on order and there are a couple of things I can't seem to find in brochures, manuals etc... I've added the variable boot floor - does this just give you a level floor with storage underneath? I've seen pics of SEL models that look to have a bar / divider as well? What is the service schedule? I know oil and filter will be variable but can't find anything on DSG oil, spark plugs etc. Thanks
  7. If you want to nip up to Milton Keynes I'll do a VCDS scan for you. Send me a PM if so.
  8. Yes it can be done. You'll get options for on/off and length of time in the Maxidot (if fitted). Leaving home lights will come on everytime you unlock the car. Coming home lights will stay on if you leave the headlamp switch in the on position.
  9. What sort of DRLs are you after? There are options for activating them in VCDS, which might save you a lot of hassle.
  10. It might be leaking, but not under vacuum. Are they not finding any traces of dye? I've seen systems with partially sheared pipes pass the 'leak test' as the vacuum sucks them in and closes the gap.
  11. I (like many others on here) have a 205/55 16 setup for winter. With Nokian WRG2 tyres. They work nicely in the snow. Drove straight over this after reversing a couple of feet for a runup: And then found some nice untreated roads: And safely back home: Couldn't manage to get this started for a proper play though!
  12. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/18104/P1696/005782 Seems like the stalk.
  13. As far as I know the maxidot just lets you alter settings without vcds. You were activating them correctly weren't you? Leaving the lights 'on' rather than flashing them?
  14. I have coming home and leaving home lights on my 06 vrs. Both work fine and can be switched on and off or times altered in the maxidot.
