Hi, I have a Superb Mk II with a removable towbar from Prof Svar which I can't remove. The lever is stuck.

I can turn the key and press the red button fully. At that point I can turn the lever downwards a few millimeters but not more. Any ideas of what I can do?

In Sweden a removable towbar must be able to come off as part of car inspection. Right now I'm not allowed to drive the car because of this.

I'd try tapping it upwards from underneath with a hammer to see if that can make the locking mechanism release. Another thing you could try is place a jack underneath and jack up a little: again this is to relieve pressure on the locking mechanism so that you can release it. When you get it out of the vehicle, some lubrication of the mechanism would be a good idea.
