2004 Skoda Octavia Laurin & Klement PD130 1u5 estate issues - assistance sought.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I recently purchased this for my wife, with a few issues that required attention, replacing an Elegance PD130 with even more issues.  I have repaired  some of these issues but I'm currently perplexed by a misalignment of the OS Xenon headlight which is a good 5 inches higher than the NS. Both self levelling motors visibly function in the headlights.

I have vcds-lite installed on pc but currently unregistered and a Xtools VAG401 Chinese handheld device, both of which fail to see or communicate when selecting  parameter 55 for Xenon learning, Is this function supported on the MK1 1u5?

Any assistance will be gratefully received.

Thanks Matt

Yes, VCDS is needed in order to put the xenon lights in to learning mode, so they can be adjusted. As you’ll see and noticed, the lights move as the ignition is switched on.

I usually get the garage to do it while having an MOT, as they adjust it before hand to make sure it is properly aligned.

How to calibrate with VCDS.
