ABS sensor casing on hub side is damaged?

Featured Replies

The ABS sensor on rear right won't snap into the connector fixed to hub, it got damaged when changing a brake disk. The plastic casing got a bit broken on one side.

If I push the sensor in hard it usually clears the engine light but after a short while of driving it must wiggle out a bit and the light comes back on, I assume I need a new hub?

Glue it in place.

Serious?

Seriously.

You might hopefully be able to rig something up with tywraps, one around the connector, one around the sensor to act as anchor points for another two that pull it together.

The connection needs to be retained with some axial force to maintain a good contact and also to seal.

Alternatively you can depin and replace the broken loom connector.
