Picked up the vRS yesterday and, of course, it's got an issue (wasn't there when I test drove it, can't be reset so I believe the seller didn't know - we negotiated a discount)

 

01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201) 
            012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit

 

Found the method to test whether it's fuse, brake switch or ABS unit.

 

Measuring block 5 on the ABS unit is showing 214bar. So the ABS unit is fubar (honestly thought if it was going to fail it would have done so before 13 years and 144k)..

 

2 questions.

Is it safe to drive until we can get it booked in?

Anyone recommend a VAG specialist in Suffolk?
