Looking to get a family car and currently deciding between the follkwing

 

2013/2014 Audi A4 / A6 advant black edition 

 

2013-2016 Skoda Octavia vrs estate

 

2013-2015 VW Tiguan R line

 

Obviously all slightly different and I own a MK2 Octavia VRs having driven a MK3 vrs the other weekend it didn’t feel too dissimilar. Has anyone owned or have any thoughts good or bad on the above selection?

 

All would be diesel and DSG/S tronic 

 

 

If you're looking at a Tiguan, you might want to consider a Škoda Karoq.  We had three of the previous model Tiguans in a row.  When it came time to change,  just under two years ago we test drove both a new Tiguan and a Karoq and preferred the Karoq.  

 

The bonus was that the Karoq was £8K cheaper than a similar spec. Tiguan.

Go for the Octavia. From your list, it will likely be newer if odo miles between cars are similar, have more interior space, does the family thing well and still goes about a country lane and motorway pretty tidily.
