Hi, im a newbie so i hope this works!!

I have done a ICE install in my octy and i found it takes a lot a power to make it sound nice... my first attempt was rubbish but my second attempt is much better but still i think it should be louder 4 what i spent on it!!!

Any way how did the punch stuff work?

its not in yet, but fingers crossed. im looking for decent sound not too powerfull

how much power is yours? what speakers etc have you used?

im running 1000wrms (ish) pheonix gold titanium amp with 2 12" PG titanium subs 500wrms each and a PG bass cube with 4volt preouts. also got a cap and its running on 2 gauge wire.

best of luck with your stuff, punch is some good kit. let us know how it sounds.

did you change the speakers on your vRS?

if you mean the standard ones, then yeah i changed them... as i've blown 3 standard tweeters so far... ooops!

i disconnected the tweeters and replace the front and rear speakers with Infinity kappa series which are around 55wrms coaxials. these r running off the head unit which is 60w(max i guess) but they sound mint (well mint enough 4 me!). i set the head unit to not put any bass on these speakers though, else it would sound rubbish at the volume i listen at!

Sounds like something wasn't set up right there then.

I have a 10" sub running off a Sony XM-502 amp which is only about 100W RMS and the 4 other speakers running off the head unit (approx 25wpc RMS) and its bloody loud , not to mention very high quality.

What id you have in there?

before i had a phase linear 12" 400wrms sub and a lanzar 400wrms at 4ohms amp.

sounds great but the 2 just didnt run together right. i was told after i bought the amp by the ppl that sold it to me that i needed to load that type of amp down past 1.5ohms to get anything out of it. which is great after i spend

have you heard any of the rockford punch stuff? rock amp too

oh yes i have heard of rockford stuff, never had any thing of theres but i know its good kit. and i think they under rate the power ratings alot! ie.it will run alot more than they spec.

Hmm - I tend to agree with you. My 10" sub in the boot is only powered by a Rockford Fosgate Punch 100.2 amp, and I still get some good bone shaking bass from it. Whether thats the sub or the amp I'm not sure, but I'm quite happy. I guess you also have to bear in mind the Fabia has less space for the bass to fill so it wouldn't need as much oooomph as in an octy for example. Also the amp looks quite tidy screwed to the side of the boot - I can think of uglier amps. :D
