Has anyone’s Enyaq been built but awaiting final part … and now been completed?

Featured Replies

Hi.

My car was build week early in July.

It was 99.9% built but just waiting for a chip.

I know there’s a global shortage, but can’t get any info on if any chips are coming in or expected in, if they are being fitted while main production lines closed etc.

I read there were about 32000 Skoda’s in a similar position at end June … but has that number gone up or down?

I imagine a lot of chips could be fitted quickly if they do come in.

As there seems to be very little information about what is happening (I would love a day by day graph!), I would really appreciate feedback on if others on this forum have been in a similar position, and if any have subsequently had their car completed.

This might be handy for others on this forum in a similar position - for instance if we find 20 examples who were in same position, but 10 of those had the final chip fitted in late July or August, that would give all those waiting a better picture than I imagine anyone has at the moment.

Thank you.🙏

I haven’t ordered one myself, but on a Norwegian Enyaq Facebook page, this question has been asked.

At least 8 people in that topic has replied that their cars are on the way and some of them confirms that the car was delayed due to missing chips and was sent back to the factory to have them installed.

Google Translate might help.

Thank you that’s great 😊

So my vehicle was shown as build week 28 (2 weeks ago). I've just had an update that it is in production but still showing the build week as having been 28. That suggests to me that it is all but finished other than maybe waiting for a final part.

I have read an article recently that they are expecting a supply of chips over the next 2 weeks when the factory is shut for holidays. Hopefully this will go ahead and your car will be finalised after the 16th Aug.

This article  was posted in the octavia section yesterday …

This is like a case of Déjà Vu for us. When we bought our Karoq in 2018 there was also a shortage of parts, not micro chips but seats.

We managed to dodge any delays on that occasion so hopefully history will repeat itself and our Enyaq will be delivered on time....
