Dead 12v battery Octavia 4 MHEV

Featured Replies

Car is almost two months old. Haven't used it since Monday and tonight when I tried to unlock it it wouldn't work. Tried the second remote, nothing. Had to remove the plastic cover and use the key from inside the remote. Car was completly dark, even the red led in the door which turns red when you lock the car was off. So I called Skoda Assistance, they've said that it the same thing happend to a number of Octavias before and it could be a bad battery batch and they will send someone over tommorow to check it out. This really sucks, car was at home parked but what if I was someplace else, what then?

Things break. Don't take it personally.

Insist to get a new fully charged battery.

Looks like there might be something wrong with the electrical system Car is at the dealer, had to take it by platform, they are checking her out and will let me know what's wrong.

Seems that with Plug in Hybrids & Mild Hybrids, even Full EV's and new cars / models that Skoda / VW Group have to try harder.

Anything can go wrong but as long as manufacturers take snagging faults seriously all can be sorted.  Makes you wonder about a yeat or 2 on though.
